My philosophy is that there’s definitely a holistic approach to skin care. And in this case, that’s through exercise, breathing, and movement. The pool at Mills College is the only saline pool besides the Claremont Hotel, which is exclusive to members. The saline is really good for clearing acne and can also have re-mineralizing properties. You can buy a day pass for $7 to swim and soak in the hot tub as long as you’d like, and if you go midday on a weekday, no one will be here and you can have a lane all to yourself.

If swimming is a part of your fitness regimen, I strongly recommend visiting during lap swim hours. Open to the public, and located on the park-like campus of Mills College, the pool offers fee-based day-use to the public. Swim outdoors in all weather, in an 80 degree pool with crystal clear water. This is my favorite public pool in the entire bay area! Also very family-friendly during rec swim hours, with a great shallow play section for learning swimmers!
