The Runt In Tun at Maynards Green near Heathfield in East Sussex is a delightful Country Pub which has been serving its guests and locals for over a hundred years. Serving delicious home-cooked food at very reasonable prices and locally produced real ales from Harvey's of Lewes. The pub has a large garden for guests to relax in during the summer months. This year we have a new activity play area for the children to play in, whilst there are quiet patios for those wanting a more peaceful time. Also new to the Garden this year is the Kiosk selling ice-creams for the kids and also where you can place food and drinks orders for delivery to your table. New this year is the Runt in Tun Certificated Campsite which is located to the rear of the pub in a mature tree lined setting. The campsite is a members only site with the camping and caravanning club. You can book a pitch on the camp site by phoning us on 01435 864284 or emailing us via the contact us page. This pub is within walking distance from the Chapel, about 1/2 mile and can be reached via the Cuckoo Trail (in day light) or by footpath adjacent to the road. Remember to take the torch provided if you are likely to be returning after dark as there are no streetlights in Maynards Green.
