A slice of the Mission’s Italian roots, this is an old school 1950s-style deli. Gawk at their ceiling mural of La Bella Italia or watch how they still use the antique cash register to ring you up. They make their own pasta and ravioli, and you can watch them make it through a window—the entire room is covered in flour from top to bottom. Their torpedo sandwiches are the best deal in the city—they only come with deli meat, cheese, and bread, but for just $3.50, it’s basically enough meat to make three sandwiches.
