This is proper countryside right in central London. Run through woodland along snaking paths, across wide grassy sections, and past ponds, including the three famous and enormously popular swimming ponds. A 400-metre sprint up Parliament Hill might make your legs burn, but you’ll be rewarded with an amazing view of the city at the top.

Hampstead Heath Extension is a 125-acre woodland complete with stunning wildflower meadows, ponds, sports pitches and wide-open green space. Families will also love the zoo, café, tennis courts, croquet lawn, children’s playground and landscaped gardens at Golders Hill Park.

This is one of my favourite spots in London - it feels like a getaway to the countryside! Get the train from Canonbury to Gospel Oak (closest overground station) and walk up to the top of parliament hill and you can see great views of London. Try some wild swimming in the mens, ladies or mixed ponds (you might have to book in advance on weekends). But it’s best enjoyed with a picnic and a beer!

Hampstead Heath is about a 15 min walk away from the flat and Hampstead village has lots of pubs, shopping and cafe's to experience.

Hampstead heath is the best park in London. It has a mixture of wild heath and the famed grounds of Kenwood House as featured in the film 'Notting Hill' Although nowhere near Notting Hill and only a 5 minute drive from Crouch End this is a fantastic place to explore and its surrounding satellite villages such as Highgate, Hampstead and South End Green.
