Also from celebrity chef José Avillez, this restaurant reminds the old Lisbon's cafes, serving delicious food for quite reasonable prices. It's a quiet lovely place inside the São Carlos Opera House, in the heart of Chiado, also with outside tables, perfect for a warm summer evening.

Bairro Alto was "The" neighbourhood a couple of years ago, but with the touristic scene exploding and new options on Cais do Sodré for a more hip crowd, now BA is full with tourists and young kids drinking on the streets. You cant try a night of rally paper drinking, but if you want to settle somewhere, go to Suave, where the music is groovy and soulful and you can seat while having a cocktail.
