Craftsman and Wolves on Valencia between 18th and 19th is a spectacular bakery which has delectable wares displayed under glass with bright lights almost like a jeweler. My personal favorite is a savory muffin called “The Rebel Within” which has a soft-boiled egg hidden inside it. They also have a rotating cast of excellent Financiers. Very rarely they have baguettes - if they do, do yourself a favor and get one!

Try the Rebel Within for breakfast, and don't hesitate to try anything else on the menu. Locals are willing to stand in line to get one of their pastries, so you can't go wrong here.

My favorite bakery in town! You'll have to try "Rebel Within" (asiago, sausage, green onion, soft cooked egg).
