On the west of the village Rogdia, is the entrance of the small gorge of Spiliotissa or Rextra. The route starts from the old watermill of Koukos, on the main road connecting Rogdia to Achlada, and descends to the most impressive part of it, the 10m high waterfall Rechtra, reached via a quite steep descend with ropes. Descending the gorge, we pass by some small waterfalls, the cave chapel of Panagia Spiliotissa, and reach the beach of Paliokastro. In the middle of the gorge, is a cave that an agiographer has turned into a workshop. It is nice to visit him, see his work and maybe buy something.
