East Nashville will give you more of a local feel. Not to many tourist in this area.

This is where Nashville quarantined its Hipsters. It's a fun area with a lot of great people and a laid back, creative neighborly feel. We usually ride our bikes there on the trail, but you can drive in 15 minutes. If it wasn't for the Cumberland River, it would be a walk.

Located across the Cumberland River from downtown Nashville is the stomping ground of Nashville’s creative class, attracted to the area’s culturally-diverse and eclectic vibe and historic homes dating back to the early 1900s. In the early aughts, East Nashville helped put Nashville on the map as a culinary destination with beloved restaurants like Margot Cafe & Bar and Marche Artisan Foods, a reputation the neighborhood maintains today. Locals frequent the many dive bars, craft cocktail joints, coffee shops, and vintage stores sprinkled throughout the neighborhood.

This historical neighborhood offers great bikes lanes for cycling, very pedestrian, the greenbelt, Shelby Park Lake, tennis and basketball courts, great dining and bar scenes.

Historic East Nashville is pretty well known these days. There are a ton of small local shops with all sorts of things to peruse. There are also so many places to eat, drink, & be merry! Most all within a few block, area.
