Parks & Nature

You will find Twin Parks just a few blocks east and one block south of the house. There are interesting sculptures on a revolving basis provided by Arts RAlive. Celebrate every August with new works and a jazz and wine fest in the park .
You will enjoy a beautiful walking or biking trail and a lake, golf course and event center. There e is a picturesque waterfall at the back of the park just off the trail. The trial runs three miles to Webster City.

This is a wonderful park with WPA historic stone structures that are now in the process of being renovated for even greater beauty. The park has lovely White Fox Creek wandering through and offers some good fishing at certain times of the year.

The Kendall Young Library is just up the street on Willson Avenue and is a lovely place to read, browse the Internet or enjoy the beautiful collection of American Indian artifacts.
The library was built in 1896 as a gift from a local banker in honor of his wife. Upstairs, it holds an amazing collection of art, including Eberle sculptures and downstairs, in the children's department, you will be amazed at he collection of American Indian artifacts.
