We love Amaro's Table! Excellent and reasonably priced food and cocktails. They have a location in downtown Vancouver and one in Hazel Dell very close to our home. The Hazel Dell location is usually easier to get into, with little to no wait.

Their yellow curry is amazing! This fun restauraunt has a very large menu offering, including an entire sushi bar and menu. Nice atmosphere and great location for happy hour or a dinner date.

Sightseeing
If you're a visitor to the area, this is a must-see. The waterfall is amazing, as is the hike. I recommend getting here early-ish to avoid heavy traffic.

The best view of Portland with Mount Hood in the background, in my opinion! I like to hike up Wildwood Trail in Forest Park to get to the mansion, or you can drive up there directly. This is an awesome place to walkaround and you can tour the mansion if that's of interest to you.

Pittock Mansion
3229 NW Pittock DrThe best view of Portland with Mount Hood in the background, in my opinion! I like to hike up Wildwood Trail in Forest Park to get to the mansion, or you can drive up there directly. This is an awesome place to walkaround and you can tour the mansion if that's of interest to you.
Moulton Falls is closeby and an easy drive away. Parking is right next to the falls and the trails nearby are easy with pretty sights. it's a great place for a picnic.

Beacon Rock is a pillar of the gorge with beautiful panaromic views the entire way up and down. The hike is steep in some locations and I don't recommend it for those who are super scared of heights since the path is along a cliff edge. If you aren't afraid of heights, this is an easy and relatively short up and down hike.

Taman Negara Beacon Rock
34841 Washington 14Beacon Rock is a pillar of the gorge with beautiful panaromic views the entire way up and down. The hike is steep in some locations and I don't recommend it for those who are super scared of heights since the path is along a cliff edge. If you aren't afraid of heights, this is an easy and relatively short up and down hike.
We love bringing our dogs down here and walking along the waterfront. In addition to having tons of new and excellent restaurants, bars and tasting rooms, the waterfront also has a several mile long paved walkway that we walk often.

A fun location for a day trip. We love the scenery and the fish and chips. Awesome restaurants, breweries and the cute small-town vibe make it a go-to for us. If you aren't afraid of heights, we love driving over the Astoria bridge and admiring the beautiful views.
