An affordable(if there is such a thing) fine dining Michelin star restaurant. Where most fine dining places in SF charge hundreds of dollars, Commonwealth is only $80 pp for their tasting menu and they donate some of these proceeds to local food banks.

One of the best burrito places in the Mission. The salsa can be spicy though. Get it Super style and it comes with avocado (not guacamole) and sour cream to help cut the spice.

Nate Silver of 538 did a National Burrito challenge and this place won it. They don't use rice in their burritos. I still think Cancun is better.

Papalote's claim to fame is that they beat Bobby Flay in the Burrito Throwdown. Unfortunately, they overcharge heavily for the Triple Threat (over $20). Try the Filipino inspired MexiPino instead

The famed South Bay ramen place has opened a branch in the Mission. Be prepared for long lines though. Like most places in the Mission, it's dark and noisy. Worth the walk and wait if you love ramen
