When you wake up and want breakfast or brunch. Range from affordable to fancy. There a dozens of great places in the Mission. I’m listing the ones within a short walk or worth the trip
This is my go to for breakfast. Its a neighborhood institution. Good coffee, good place to hang out, quick breakfast and lunch at great prices. Great for kids. I recommend steamed eggs on toasted croissant with cheese and bacon. 3 min walk.

Great sandwiches and salads from 11:30-3:30. Has nice selection of food gifts as well. Super hipster and cool. Don’t confuse it with the original Flour and Water, which is 1/2 block away and is for formal dining.
