Sightseeing
Big Sur is a close drive. Lots of hiking. Make sure you stop and have lunch at cafe kevah, there are 2 restaurants here, the cafe is cheaper and quicker seating, there is usually a wait for Nepethe which is upstairs. Food is just as good, of course don't forget to try a mimosa after you hike! Great views from all aspects of the restaurants.

Big Sur is a close drive. Lots of hiking. Make sure you stop and have lunch at cafe kevah, there are 2 restaurants here, the cafe is cheaper and quicker seating, there is usually a wait for Nepethe which is upstairs. Food is just as good, of course don't forget to try a mimosa after you hike! Great views from all aspects of the restaurants.
Carmel Valley has great hiking at garland park, off of carmel valley road, then stop at any of the many wineries in the area. We especially like the cowgirl winery it is adorable with chickens running loose and restaurant roux across the street for some food. Some yummy you just can't go wrong and the sangria at roux, is the best i have ever had.

1 Old Ranch RdCarmel Valley has great hiking at garland park, off of carmel valley road, then stop at any of the many wineries in the area. We especially like the cowgirl winery it is adorable with chickens running loose and restaurant roux across the street for some food. Some yummy you just can't go wrong and the sangria at roux, is the best i have ever had.
Aquarium, shopping, food, beaches, bike riding. So many things to do in monterey! Chart house is touristy but has the best views and the best clam chowder!

Bird rock is just a mile straight down bird rock road. It is famous for the birds but it also has tons of sea lions. If you walk more to the left there are some smaller rocks further down with seals even closer. Take the binoculars and get a great look. Also do not forget to look for Whales when in season.

You will be on 17 mile drive everyday because of the house location, but don't forget to actually drive on it and sight see. You must see the cypress tree that's a given. It drives along the coast with many places to stop and get great pictures to make your friends jealous.

Shopping, art galleries, wine and food. Don't forget to walk down the street to the beach. Coach is always 50 percent off, so make sure to stop in if you need a new purse. Such a cute area.
