Smugglers’ Notch is an all year round resort. You will find the FunZone 2.0 for kid’s entertainment at smugglers’ Notch as well as ArborTrek which is a zip line canopy tour. In the summer you will enjoy some mountain biking, disc golf, water slides, canoeing & kayaking. In the winter you have access to a well established ski resort with 78 trails, a vertical drop of 2610’ and 8 lifts.

Cady Hill Forest is STP’s flagship trail network; its diverse terrain, great views, easy access from Town and the Stowe Rec Path, and trails that cater to just about any level of rider make it one of the most ridden trail networks in the northeast. Home to 38 mountain bike trails located on 258 acres of land, you will find something for your taste there. The trail is accessible from Ranch Camp Bike shop, do not forget to stop by their restaurant to recharge your batteries and share your ride’s highlights with your friends.

Moss Glen Falls cascades a total of 125 feet through a gorge created by Moss Glen Brook. To get to the falls take the trail approximately 0.25 miles. Some parts of the trail are wet and bog bridging has been installed.

The North Branch Cascades is a remarkable 1 mile stretch along the North Branch of the Winooski River beside Route 12. It is just south of Lake Elmore and is 14 miles north on Route 12 from Montpelier. It is characterized by seven stunning cascading waterfalls and numerous deep holes.
Directions:
From the North, take Route 12 direction south past Lake Elmore and 8 miles south of Elmore Store is the pull off for the main parking area on your left. There are two other parking areas to the South as well, if this one is full.
