Colchester Point is the neighborhood you are in. It is a private beach association, which means that only owners or renters of cottages on the point are allowed to use the sandy beaches along the shore!

Colchester is the broader town surrounding Colchester Point. It is a quaint little town, with stunning views of Lake Champlain and all the essentials you will need.
A must do list the Colchester Causeway, which connects the Vermont mainland to the island of South Hero. It's a great walk, run or bike. Bring your own bikes, or you can rent them from Mallet's Bay Bike shop. If you do, be sure to bike around the island to see the birdhouse forest, or up further to Snow Farm Winery, the first grape farm and winery in the State of Vermont.
