You won’t be disappointed by any of the hikes along the Columbia River Gorge. The views are breathtaking and there are plenty of waterfalls to enjoy! Check out Multnomah Falls and Angel's Rest hike for fantastic views!
A great way to see explore the city is to walk or bike along the Willamette river. I recommend starting at the house (or at Kerr bikes on SE Water Ave), crossing over the Tilikum bridge, biking north on the waterfront trail, then crossing back over on the Steel bridge, and biking south back down the east side of the river. There's lots of see and it's almost all protected bike lanes!
