Deadly coffee. But also the most amazing decaff soy-coco latte (if you're dairy and caffeine free). Sounds ridiculous tastes amazing

What was a petite cafe has blossomed over the past year. The space is welcoming. As are the cafe owners and their staff. The food menu is small but each item is made to perfection. And its just a few minutes from the house. Free wifi; ask at the counter. A total joy

A great cafe. Fantastic mediterranean inspired food and tempting desserts. My only difficulty with Brother Hubbard these days is that it is so popular these days. Although take out is an option so if the weathers good why not walk to the boardwalk along the liffey and watch the world go by.

A bar crossed with a connoisseurs cafe . Great selection of hot or cold beverages. And tasty and easily eaten food. Kitchen is open 12pm-10pm most days. Free wifi. Great option if you're on the northside or just want chilled out cafe pub vibes. This used to be an infamous spot for nighttime shenanigans only. Its grown up a lot since then!

Do you like cake? Well, this is your find!
The cake cafe is an institution. Nestled behind the Daintree Paper Shop on Camden street you won't spot it from the street. But it doesn't stop Dubliners from finding it, and now you can too!
A Summer sun trap outside and a cozy cafe indoors.
A fantastic place to rest and rejuvenate

Walk from the back entrance of the Castle on Ship street great and wander through the castle and out the main entrance. I enjoy it as a calmer alternative to bustling Dame Street. The Chester Beatty library is located on the grounds of the castle.

Keep an eye out for the illuminated strips on the ground at the end of lamb alley; it marks the original city wall.
Look up and you will see the original wall. Now integrated into the city.
Outside the wall is the area of Dublin called the Liberties, where my house is. And refers to the area outside the old castle wall.

Parks & Nature
Not quite a hike. More of a joyful walk. Start at Sandymount beach and walk along the coast on a path all the way out to the pool beg lighthouse. Beautiful vistas of Dublin city. This is a decent walk -pack a lunch and coffee as you will be out for a couple of hours. See the uniquely Dublin Poolbeg chimneys, synonymous with the city.

Hop on a Dublinbus from the Winetavern street/merchants quay (stop 1444) on the south side of the liffey (i.e. don't cross the river). The 145 will bring you to Heuston station and you have a short walk. Or other buses that bring you closer to the entrance are the 25/26/66/66a/66b/67/69. Ask the bus driver to call the stop nearest the Phoenix Park for you.
My suggestion is to rent a bike ; there is a bike rental at the entrance to the park. Google it for further information.
The park is quite flat and you will cross the most distance and relatively easily on a bike. Check out the visitor centre and don't forget to keep an eye out for the deer that roam free!
