This place gets super long lines at times but that’s because people love it. Some of their food is sourced from the owner’s farm in Corbet, which is also affiliated with the Urban Farm Collective, a Portland group the transforms unused lots into gardens and donates to the Oregon Food Bank. So eating here puts your money where your mouth is - eating sustainably and supporting accessible sustainable food for others! Plus the food is really yummy!

You’ll find good food, coffee, boutiques and antiques, and the “World Famous Kenton Club” which is way more dive bar than world-famous, but they often have live music! The new outdoor spaces make it easy to hang out there.

It’s a brief and somewhat scenic drive from N Portland to Sauvie Island, our agricultural neighbor up the road. Bella Farm is the place to go for you-pick produce and a nice little outing!

This particular gorge hike involves scrambling over fallen timbers and wading through waist deep water to get to that magical moment when you come around a bend and see the falls. I recommend checking out the info online to know what you’re getting into and going on a weekday if it’s summertime.
