Parks & Nature
Located within the Serra da Arrábida Natural Park, Portinho Beach is deemed one of the prettiest in all of Portugal. Its fine white sands and the various tones of blue of these clear waters contrast with the deep greens of the hills to create a beautiful scenario that is perfect for contemplative relaxation.
This calm bay is good for diving to enjoy the diverse marine life although fishing itself is forbidden given that the seabed itself is included in the Natural Park's protected area.

Take the bus and visit Figueirinha one of the most famous beaches in the region, making it quite popular during the high season.
The low waving creates excellent conditions for swimming and the long sandy beach invites for a long walk. The beach of Figueirinha, awarded with the Blue Flag, has excellent conditions for the observation of marine species.

During summer, the beaches that are close to the ferry boat docking area are generally crowded, but if you want less company, just walk a while south along the Atlantic shoreline and you will find fewer sunbathers. Must Go!!
