Stay in one of the most charming vintage cabins on Mt. Hood, hand-built in 1930 by Oregon's famous cabin builder, Henry Steiner. Experience authentic cabin life as you cozy up with blanket and book by the fire, cook delicious meals, or fall asleep to the soft patter of rain on the roof. This one-of-a-kind cabin is truly a historic treasure. Every detail has been lovingly restored, featuring beautiful log walls, sleeping loft, clawfoot tub, and stone fireplace.

As soon as you step into this magical log cabin, you’ll be transported back in time. You’ll immediately admire the warm-glow of the original hand-peeled logs and delight in the signature details of Steiner’s masterpiece like the staircase made of split logs and curving branches.

The rock fireplace with wood-burning stove is the centerpiece, the perfect spot to relax with a good book on a rainy day. The vaulted ceiling with crisscross log beams create a true lodge experience.

The master bedroom is so cozy you may not want to get out of bed! Wake up refreshed in the queen bed with a new memory foam mattress. Everywhere you look are charming details, like rustic light fixtures, hand-made log mirror, log shelves and Steiner’s secret “snack door” to the kitchen. A built-in wall heater can keep the room toasty all night, but you might not need under the snug warmth of Pendleton blankets.

The upstairs sleeping loft offers two twin beds and a playful constellation-like array of Edison-style bulbs.

The bright kitchen has all the original "farmhouse" charm of the 1930s, featuring whitewashed shiplap walls, breakfast nook, and a stunning solid redwood countertop. Every detail is vintage, but all the appliances and fixtures are brand new. With stove, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher, you’ll be able to cook up classic cabin meals.

The restored bathroom features the original clawfoot tub with reproduction shower hardware, heated tile floor, and beautiful vessel sink on a custom redwood countertop.

Adhering to its classic roots, the cabin is decorated with art of local wildflowers and hand-made furniture in the rustic style.

Outside, you can grill on the deck, or roast marshmallows in the fire pit. (Excluding times of fire bans, of course.)

The cabin sits on a third of an acre, surrounded by towering old growth fir and cedar trees. You’ll have the property to yourself–close enough to neighboring cabins for safety, but screened enough for privacy.
