You'd never guess from the outside this converted garage/shop holds such a sophisticated "barndomium" decorated in vintage-modern style!
You'll love the high ceilings, cozy shag rug for curling up by the gas fireplace and strong wifi for remote work and streaming TV.

The back patios off the kitchen and bedroom look out into state forest land. Relax outdoors amidst the forest view in summer.

Extra touches in the bedroom include heated mattress pads for those chilly winter nights, adjustable reading sconces and dedicated workspace when duty calls.

Guests have access to the laundry/bathroom/mudroom accessed from the garage as 2nd bathroom. (Occasionally shared in summer with host and RV guests on site).
Plus, you can use the garage in winter to park under cover and store skis and ice-fishing gear!

This is a SHARED property on over 2 acres: Other guests or owners may be in the main house, other cabin and/or RV rental spaces at the corners of the property (coming summer 2022) . Each unit has dedicated outdoor spaces and parking and feels separate from the others, however, if you are looking for more privacy, this may not be the best option for you.

Sorry, pets are not permitted in this unit at this time.

Please call me Bob! I am the founder and chief scientist at the Yellowstone Ecological Research Center (YERC). Over my 30-plus years working in the Greater Yellowstone, my research interests have sought a more holistic connection between nature, people, and technology. That’s led to what I call “Adaptive Ecology,” studying not only how ecosystems adapt to changing conditions, but how the science of ecology must adapt to social and technological changes as well. That focus drives YERC’s mission today.

Personally, I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and finding common ground among cultures and communities. I love sharing my knowledge of the Greater Yellowstone area and ecology, the best places to spot local wildlife, and my favorite watering holes in the area.
