Ryon is one of several quaint, Tiny-home, log homes on a wooded property surrounded by National Park land just a stone throw from the TN River, one mile from South Broad and Ruby Falls at the foot of Lookout Mtn. This wonderful natural setting is nested by the city with quick access to downtown and Lookout. You will enjoy a private furnished back deck and front porch, hot tub, charcoal grill.

Starting in the back, Ryon (named after Nicole's first born), boasts a back deck with Adirondack chairs and your own private hot tub on the ground level. The Master hosts a queen bed, four closets for hanging clothes, lots of drawer storage and TV. Just out of the master is the washer dryer combo unit on the right and the full bath on the left. A step further we enter the kitchen, full stocked for cooking/dining with an electric range, microwave, stove, full-size fridge, cabinets and a bar. The living room and kitchen are open space with the main TV across from the sofa. The loft has two twin beds. Clearance in the loft is low, at just 4' - it is a sleep loft, not a stand up and walk around space.

Wauhatchie Woodlands is comprised of about 26 acres, literally surrounded on all sides by National Military Park Federal forest. Lookout creek is visible just over the CSX tracks, the River is less than one mile as the crow flies, and there are beautiful wooded walking trails with boulders and views all around the property for those wanting to just explore from the cabin.
There are trains, two active lines that run very close by. This will created noise that can be distracting when outside. You are also close to I-24 and Cummings Highway at the foot of Lookout. The city is just 1.3 miles to the Southside, and just one mile to Ruby Falls. Federal Trails are all over but the closest is Skyuka Springs trail-head about .5 miles away.

We have loved world travels our entire life though as parents of 8 kids, we move more between TN and Utah, our two family homes, than anywhere else. Frank is an entrepreneur and business owner, lover of history, plants, nature, his faith, philosophy, and our family. Nicole, who stays home to manage our large family and the properties enjoys being in nature, bird watching, trail running with our dogs, date nights with Frank, cuddling with our little ones and cats, conversations with the older kids, studying Gods word, and coffee talks with friends. She loves her Heavenly Father, her family, coffee, and wishing she did not love so much sugar! We love Chattanooga and Southern Utah for too many reasons to list, but also cherish variety and the beauty so many places in the world have to offer.

As hosts, Nicole is home a lot during the day when not out in the community serving and we live on the property, So you will find us responsive, accommodating, and eager to share the treasures of our town and learn the treasures of your own. We know the trails, many waterfalls, parks, restaurants, and attractions of Chattanooga quite well and are willing to be a resource for our guests, offering an intimate knowledge of our home areas of East TN and Southern Utah.

As a traveler, on business I tend to work, read and rest if I can, and prefer to travel with associates or family when I can. As a vacationer, I am eager to share and celebrate the diversity of creation and humanity with my family and to give them an explorers heart, a warmth for difference, and a bit of zeal for travel too. I prefer National Parks to cities, but cities carry their own attraction. I prefer mountains to beaches, forests to fields, and local to corporate or suburban.
