Fiordland Escape is a comfortable 3 bedroom home with the stunning scenery of Fiordland National Park all around.

Spend the day exploring (bush walks, lake edge, local restaurants and Doubtful Sound departure point are all within a 10 min walk) then come home to toast summer nights with a drink on the deck watching the sun set over the mountains or celebrate crisp nights snuggled down inside on the large cozy couch by the log burner.

Ruang
Manapouri is the perfect base for exploring Fiordland. It is the gateway to Doubtful Sound and the Kepler track, with Milford Sound a beautiful scenic drive away. There is renowned fly fishing, hunting and tramping on the doorstep.

The kitchen is older but fully equipped, including some basic food items such as tea, coffee, oil, salt and sugar. The new bathroom has an extra-deep bath and mains pressure shower. The bedrooms have cotton sheets and duck feather and down duvets to keep you warm on cold nights. The bunk bed room has a double-lower and single-upper bunk. Heaters and fans are available in the bedrooms.

There is a new TV with Netflix, unlimited guest WiFi, and a selection of books and games for both adults and children alike.

The large back garden is fully fenced and there is plenty of space for off street parking.

Enjoy a later check out time of 11am as we find guests enjoy a sleep in and a leisurely pack up when on holiday!

Fiordland Escape has a field with a playground for children just across the road. Frazer's beach at the lake edge is a short walk away. Please see our folder inside the house for information on local cafes/restaurants, day walks and other local activities. Immediate neighbours are very friendly.

We live with our 2 young girls in Gore, a small town in the heart of the Southland region. Southland is an outdoor paradise and our Fiordland Escape allows others to enjoy it too.

Personally we love to do day trips or weekends away with our family. Our favourite spots are the inland mountains, lakes and rivers, where the fly fishing is world class, the opportunity to put food on the table still exists, and where our girls and our dog can go for walks to explore the beaches and forests. It is truly a paradise.

Not all days are good for getting outdoors, so we hope that you can find our home cosy enough to simply relax indoors enjoying the beautiful mountain views during those days.

We want guests to have the best experience that they can and welcome any feedback - both good and bad!
