Tonle Bassac is one of the last neighborhoods in central Phnom Penh to have small, winding alleys, rather than parallel streets, which makes it feel like a village in the middle of the big city. Getting around the alleys can be confusing for new visitors, so please ask for a map when you arrive. Two pagodas (Wat Svay Popey and Wat Vo Yu Vong) and some traditional wooden houses add to the charm.
