Private bedroom 1 in a shared 90 m2 furnished house. For 1 person or a couple. Families with 1 or 2 children have to rent the two bedroom at once in the other ad 'House to share in Gif-sur-Yvette'. The house is a bit old fashioned, but rather charming, with a nice garden and a cat (who sleeps outside). It is located in Gif-sur-Yvette, in a very quiet residential area at 8 minutes walking distance from the center of the town and from the fast metro RER B, servicing Paris in 45 min.

You share with me the first floor of the house (access by stairs), the utility room at the garden level , the garden, and all the equipments (fridge, hoven, hob , dish washer , lwashing and drying machines , iron, TV, wifi). You benefit from 1 private bedroom. Other guests can be present in the second bedroom.
My private bedroom and office are at the garden level.

Gif-sur-Yvette in a town at 20 kms in the south of Paris. It is separated in several villages and surrounded by the countryside of the beautiful "Vallée de Chevreuse". But it is also inside the area of Paris-Saclay University and close to many research centers. It is connected to Paris in 45 min via a fast metro line called RER B. The house is at 650 m from the center of the old village, which has a chirch, shops, restaurants, banks, a post office, and a cinema.

I am a 57-years-old french physicist living in Gif-sur-Yvette, a green area at 20 kms from Paris (France). I travel alone about 5 times a year for my work, and sometimes with my family for hollydays. I started to use airbnb in 2012.
I like the idea of staying by people rather than in a hotel, and I appreciate when the hosts stick to the initial airbnb spirit rather than to a "business is business" formula...
Since 2018, with my partner, we also share our house in Gif-sur-Yvette with visitors or newcomers in the region.

I am a 57-year old physicist, working in quantum electronics (Quantronics) at CEA. I live most of the time with my Partnber Rosi in a house in Gif-sur-Yvette since my three children are adults. I have decided to share my house and garden and rent out private bedrooms for short periods of time (up to 5-6 weeks). Rather than tourists, I target people coming for their work, who possibly want to settle in the area and need time to find their own home. My motivation is to make a bit of money to renew my home, but also to meet people and help them if I can. Because many colleagues of mine had to find a temporary place where to stay when just arriving from abroad, I understand rather well the situation, and since I know very well the neighboorhood, I think that I can help.
