We are right in the heart of the city, with views of the mountains and port.

A great location for museums, music, enjoying people watching and the city. Hikers and birders, we have great suggestions and some are off the road, over a river, across a pasture. Gardeners enjoy our garden and farm suggestions.

Ruang
Our house is a colonial building. The fachada dates from the late 19th century and features an enormous front door cut from one tree trunk, 20ft wooden ceiling and period lamps. The furniture in our sala was first purchased in 1895! We are the second owners. Our dining room table came from a huge mahogany tree from the family farm in the mountains, it dates from the 1920's.

The modern bedrooms are upstairs. (Space for 5) Both rooms have private bathrooms, with centralized hot water. The rooms have a view out across the port to the mountains west of the city.

We can accommodate 2 adults and a small child in either room (extra bed). If you are 4 people - 2 adults and 2 children under 10 we are willing to negotiate a special fee for another room.

This delightful suite of rooms had a work table, ample plugins and a secret garden. Bedroom has a view of the mountains and port.
Cold drinks in the frig, and a kettle for soothing teas. Enjoy the eclectic decor from the Americas and Japan.

We are right in the heart of the city. Our street has little traffic. Our neighbours are professionals; doctors, nurses, school teachers, and government workers. We have lots of children and young people who play in the street after school (always keen for a new ball and a foreigner to play with!).

I came to tourism by many roundabout ways having given my lst guided tour at the age of 8, after which I was grounded for "talking to strangers", needless to say the grounding didn't work. I love living in Cuba and finding all about its history and culture - so we provide educational tours throughout Cuba, specializing in history, culture, gardens and architecture, and birding. On the side I cook with my wonderful workers in the house - we specialize in vegetarian/vegan, north african, middle eastern, iranian, punjabi, and all the way back through Europe. (I started cooking when I was grounded!)

The five things I can't live with out - cardomon, fennel, corriander, tumeric, and ghee!

My favourite books - The Ginger Tree, Jane Austin, Stuart McLean.

My life motto - same as my grandmother's - never complain, there is no "they" there is only you, so go out and fix it.
