I am payal, I started Memoir in April 2017. However I have been staying in kasol from 2015. So pretty familiar with the mountains around. It was first time in 2014 when I visited Himalayas and fell in love with it. I somehow managed to have a beautiful old rustic house and start my own project.
Memoir is not a commercial homestay or guesthouse. It's more like a home for artists, backpackers, travellers and lost souls. Memoir is right in the middle of greens. Very peaceful and very connected to the nature. It's a retreat therapy for yourself. I personally can spend endless time at Memoir, learning new things or even learning about within. I love traveling and exploring new places. Which helps me to help my guests plan their travel too.
I also am a licensed guide of Himachal Pradesh.
Apart from travelling I love reading, film making, movies, art events and spirituality. I have a great interest learning new skills.
Memoir also has an art shop where we try to put different creative items to sale.
Memoir has its own memoir where travellers has left their memories and feedbacks written.
The amount of creative people I have met at Memoir has made me realise how blessed i am to be a host and to be in the Himalayas.
